STUDENT OF FIK UNY ACHIEVED GOLD MEDAL IN SEA GAMES
To compete in international level representing the nation is the dream of all Indonesian students. Successfully to be the champion in other countries, especially when the moment of independence is like a special present at the 72nd anniversary of Indonesia Republic. Like Prima Wisnu Wardhana, Physical Education, Health, and Recreation Education (PJKR) student of Faculty of Sport Sciences (FIK) UNY, who recently won SEA Games 2017 gold medal in Malaysia. Prima managed to snatch the gold medal in the archery of the men's individual compound after finishing the Malaysian representative Mohd Juwaidi Mazuki with score 145-144 in Synthetic Turf Field, National Sports Council, KL Sports City, Malaysia. Feelings of joy and pride to be able to scent Indonesia in the international arena is difficult to disclose. Moreover, Prima hopes his achievement of international achievement can bring UNY more qualified, he said. Prima along with Sri Yanti successfully completed the number of 'compound' individual in male and female numbers although both of them were not targeted to win gold medal by Indonesian Archery Association (Perpani), moreover they had to face a serious opponent in final party.
Meanwhile, Claudia Megawati Suyanto, alumnus of FIK UNY from Prodi PJKR who graduated last year also donated bronze medal of synchronized swimming at 'duet technical routine' on Friday (18/08/2017). Claudia and her partner Annisa Feritrianti stated that their success in donating bronze medal was because they had mutual trust and focus on their performance, said her. Previously, Both were able to achieve medals at the same number at the SEA Games 2015 in Singapore. Claudia often donated medals to national and international swimming championships such as gold medals in three categories at the Indonesia National Sports Week (PON) in West Java 2016 and International Jogja Open Championship in Kulon Progo followed by participants from ASEAN and Australia.
