IMPRESSIONS OF TAIWAN STUDENTS ON TAKING INTERSHIP PROGRAM AT FIK UNY
Recently, 5 students and 1 lecture from National Taiwan University of Nursing and Health Sciences (NTUNHS) Taiwan completed the training and internship program on Basic Therapy of Manipulative and Basic Therapy of Sports at Faculty of Sport Sciences (FIK) UNY. For a month, the five NTUNHS students followed the theory, observation, practice, and examinations supervised by Dr. Ali Satia Graha, M.Kes. and Dr. Bambang Priyonoadi, M.Kes. as the lecturers and supervisors.
Huang, Wen Ching, Ph.D., the lecturer said that he was happy and enthusiastic about the lecture material and the practice he got. According to Huang, the massage was done with 'fun' and can be 'magic' because it heals a person's injury. Meanwhile, Wu, Cia Chieh, a Sport Exercise course student and a woodball player, admitted interested in deepening the method of handling injuries taught, because almost everyone must have suffered injuries both on small scale to a large (severe), so the science they got will be very useful for them and their relatives. Moreover, the method of Manipulative Therapy they were learning was completely new in manipulative therapy of injury and physical rehabilitation. Meanwhile, Lin Zheng Hao promised to immediately try to heal his family and relatives injuries after getting the experience with the knowledge and insights he got during his lectures and practice at FIK UNY Physical Therapy Clinic.
Dean of FIK, Prof. Dr. Wawan S. Suherman, M.Ed. in his speech to the five students of NTUNHS told the students to be able to implement their knowledge and experience in Taiwan and to bring the good impressions and the advantages of FIK UNY and the values of Indonesian culture to Taiwan. Moreover, FIK UNY was ready to 'follow up' other cooperation program with NTUNHS Taiwan in addition to student exchange, said Dean of FIK. (SP27)
